07 Mar Leede Jones Gable offers BC Training and Education Savings Grant for RESP accounts
Leede Jones Gable is pleased to offer the $1200 B.C. Training and Education Savings Grant to RESP beneficiaries who are residents of BC with a parent/legal guardian who is also a resident of BC.
To be eligible for this one-time grant, the following criteria must be met:
1. The child was born in 2007 or later
2. You and the child must be residents of British Columbia
3. The child is the beneficiary of a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) with a participating financial institution
4. The earliest you can request the grant is when your child turns six. After that, you may apply any day before their ninth birthday
It was recently announced in Budget 2016 that children born in 2006 will also be eligible and will be able to apply later this fall.
Please click here to download the B.C. Training and Education Savings Grant (BCTESG) Application Form if you meet the criteria and submit your completed form to your Investment Advisor for processing.
If approved, the grant will be deposited directly into the RESP once the application has been processed by Employment and Social Development Canada. The money will arrive within about six to eight weeks after the application is made.
